Allison comes into the Nexus dressed in a suit patterned after that…

Allison comes into the Nexus dressed in a suit patterned after that of her father, the supervillain Electro.  In other words, green and yellow, with a huge starshaped mask.

"Does anyone here know how to avoid taking medication?" She's playing around with a bottle of pills.

"And if that doesn't interest you. What do or did you think about your parents? Would you be willing to give up the use of your powers in order to be able to be with them?

4th-Apr-2009 02:00 pm (UTC)
"Switch them to sugar pills, toss the real ones down the sink." The human-symbiote duo suggests from their upside-down perch on the ceiling, merrily drooling away as they watch her. That is a very distinctive and familiar outfit you've got on, lady, and Venom is pretty sure he recognizes it.

"We don't think about our father much anymore." He drops down from the ceiling, disarmingly light, and peers at her, taking a guess. "We didn't know Electro had kids, either."
4th-Apr-2009 02:36 pm (UTC)
"Nice idea, but how to make sure that it still shows up in my blood when they test it." She bites her lip. "Those probation officers can be pretty damn annoying about it."

"He just had me. Do you know my dad?"
4th-Apr-2009 04:44 pm (UTC)
"No clue on the medication."

"I never knew my father, he was killed before I was born. And I wouldn't give up anything to be with my mother.. More like what would I give up to be sure I never had to see her or her people ever again."

"They are not nice people."
4th-Apr-2009 04:59 pm (UTC)
"I grew up with my mom, she was OK, but she wouldn't even take me to visit my dad when he was in prison. Then when my mom died, I spent a lot of time in fosterhomes.

I'm with my dad now, now that he's out of prison. But they'll only let me stay with him if I follow the rules of my probation, including these stupid power suppression meds." She doesn't seem to happy about it.

"If they find out I stopped taking the meds, I have to go back to juvie, and my dad'll lose custody of me. But I hate the meds. They make me feel weak, normal..."
4th-Apr-2009 05:40 pm (UTC)
There's a Scarlet Spider draped across a chair, the bottom of her cowl pulled up just to reveal her lips. She's sipping a soda as she watches...Electra? Okay, maybe not Electra. Li'l Electro, then.

"Replace them with breath mints when your parents aren't looking?" She purses her lips. "Then again, if you have to go back to Juvie and all that, maybe being normal isn't so bad. I mean, you sound young, so you have, like, the rest of your life to be not normal, you know?"
4th-Apr-2009 06:09 pm (UTC)
"I just hate being normal. At least as Aftershock, I don't have to worry about anyone bothering me."

"Well, make that anyone but the cops or Spider-Girl bothering me."
4th-Apr-2009 05:57 pm (UTC)
Sitting on that wall over there is a young man, thinking. Mostly about why anyone would willingly wear a mask like that - not that he has a lot of room to talk about costume choices, really - but he is giving some thought to her questions, too.

"Gotta go with the 'replace them with lookalikes' crowd on the meds. As for the parental issue... yeah, of course I would. Granted, I'd need to dabble in some serious black arts to even arrange that little scenario, 'cause I'd have to raise the dead and all... but yes. I mean- I have met- versions of my old man here. And that's generally been great. It's not quite the same, though."
4th-Apr-2009 06:08 pm (UTC)
"But if I replace the meds with lookalikes, then how do I fool the weekly blood tests?" Allison hesitates, and tugs at the mask, pulling it a bit straighter.
"I don't mind being on the run for myself. But the cops are just waiting for a chance to bust my dad on something, and he could lose custody of me if I don't follow the rules of my probation."

You really should take your medication.

"But I don't want to." Pouts.

"How much cash?"
She's a bit worried about that, her allowance isn't that big, and if she robbed a bank, her dad would ground her for life."

[ooc: Thanks, don't know how I missed that, must have been in the wrong account when I was posting Jake's bio]

"...You're joking."

Whether or not it's the q... No, no. It's definitely the fact that there's a wee little Electro girl running around that's got Taskmaster staring.
5th-Apr-2009 08:13 am (UTC)
"Uh no..."

Yep definitely an Electro outfit, with the same sparks coming from here, that one could notice coming from her dad.
5th-Apr-2009 04:19 am (UTC)
"Well, first of all, are you really sure it's a good idea to stop taking your medication? They don't hand that stuff out for no reason. But I have this hunch you wouldn't really take my opinion on that, so ... nevermind." Yeah, maybe just a little hunch, Spider-Man. An itsy bitsy one. "At the very least, taper them off, don't stop them cold turkey.

"As to your second question --" He stops to fidget, scratching his chin then shifting from a crouch to a cross-legged position (still sitting on the wall, no matter how ridiculous it looks - this is Spider-Man; he has no dignity). "If I knew my friends and family would be safe from my enemies, I wouldn't have any problem giving up my powers to be with my parents. I'd do it in a hot second. I ... never knew them."

That's all he's saying about that, Electro Junior. Electra? Electrode? Electro Junior it is.
5th-Apr-2009 08:17 am (UTC)
"Well if I stopped taking my meds, I can use my powers again."

Then she notices who it is, that she's responding too.

"And it's all your fault. If it hadn't been for you, dad wouldn't have had to spend so much time in prison! And then maybe, mom woudln't have told him to stay away from us."
5th-Apr-2009 05:51 am (UTC)
If I hadn't had my powers I'd still be with them. But I do, and they threw me away because of them. They're dead now.
5th-Apr-2009 08:18 am (UTC)
"Dad didn't throw me away. Mom just wouldn't let him come see me. And he couldn't even touch me for a long time because of the way our powers worked."
5th-Apr-2009 09:01 am (UTC) - (ficverse sorry)
"For my father? I would give up many things to remain away from him."

He sighs, suddenly looking down at his hand. "...my mother, I would give it all to see her again. Even just to know if she truly watches over me as she said she would."
6th-Apr-2009 04:09 am (UTC) - Re: (ficverse sorry)
"My mom wouldn't even let my dad come visit us when I was a kid. And she never let me go visit him in prison."
5th-Apr-2009 03:39 pm (UTC)
"I don't have any powers," Sure you don't. Just keep telling yourself that. "But ... give up everything in order to live with my p-- p-- p-p-p... erh... my father? Heh.... No way."

After all that, still no. Besides. All the way out there in the middle of no-where? You must be joking. He may be a hermit, but he'd go nuts without the view of the city outside his window....
6th-Apr-2009 04:10 am (UTC)
"Having powers is awesome. But so's my dad."
5th-Apr-2009 05:06 pm (UTC)
"Far as the meds... probably best take 'em, but looks like you ain't the type t'be takin' that kinda advice. I mean common sense an' all, which is kinda the enemy of us costumed types on both sides of th'law."

Thoughtful Cyborg/Jinx hybrid is thoughtful. "My ol' man's the one gave me this body. Lost my mom in the same incident. Gotta say, for all the grief this body's caused me, it's pretty useful. So kinda mixed feelin's on that subject."
6th-Apr-2009 04:12 am (UTC)
"I just hate being normal. It's better to be feared, than to be the freaky kid that never gets picked during gym."
